Nathaniel (Nate) Dayton Borders passed into eternal life on July 3, 2018. Nate was born in Girard, Kansas, on January 30th, 1975 to Barbara Roscher and Philip Borders. Nate spent most of his childhood in Olathe, Kansas, graduating from Olathe East High School in 1994. He spent most of his professional career with Norfolk Southern Railroad. Nate gifted the world… Read More » with his creative gentle soul and sense of humor. He brought everyone around him laughter through his insights, imitations, and facial expressions. He loved music, politics, the New England Patriots, coaching Leonardo’s baseball team and singing with the Visitation choir. Nate is survived by his wife, Annie and son, Leonardo Borders, his mother, Barbara Roscher (Kent), sister, Veronica Morris (Jake), nephews, Charlie and Wesley Morris, best friend, Max Barlow, and unending group of extended family and friends. Nate is preceded in death by his father, Philip Borders, his grandparents, Ralph and Helen Borders, Connie and Buddy Leverich, his uncle, Tony Leverich, and dear cousin, Karl Dittman. His light will continue to shine through Leonardo and all those who knew and loved him. A celebration of Nate’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Visitation Catholic Church. 5141 Main, Kansas City, Missouri 64111. 4:00 pm Rosary, 4:30 pm Visitation, 5:00 pm Funeral Mass, Parish Dinner for all attendees following the services.
