Obituary for Nancy Jane Hochmuth Pratt, Kansas – Nancy Jane Hochmuth, 74, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Pratt Heath and Rehab. She was born August 15, 1943 in Harper, Kansas to Charles H. and Retha (Snavely) Wiley. Nancy was a member of the Sweet Adelines and loved to sing. She is survived by her son, David (Shannon) Hochmuth of Goldsboro, North Carolina; daughter, Jessica (Christopher) Detwiler of Pratt; stepdaughter, Sherry Shumway of Caney; grandchildren, Shealyn Hochmuth and Piper Shoop of Goldsboro; nieces, Karen Anthony of Anthony, Kay Lewis of Haviland and Krin Bowman of Lawrence; and dear friend, Diane Parker of Pratt. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and two sisters. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Pratt with Pastor Steven DeBerry presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date at Harper Cemetery, Harper. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sweet Adelines in care of Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd, Pratt.
