Obituary for Nancy C. Padgett Nancy Cassidy Padgett, 49, of Cross City passed away July 8, 2018. Mrs. Padgett was born May 29, 1969 in Gainesville, Florida, but had spent all her life in the Cross City area. She was a honorary member and Secretary of the Florida Retired Educators Association and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Padgett will always be remembered as a proud housewife and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Padgett is survived by her husband of 20 years Billy Padgett, her sons Bobby “Trey” Davis, III (Meaghan) and David Davis (Renee) her parents Windle “Wink” and Gail Cassidy, her grandmother Elizabeth Cassidy, her grandchildren Lynnox and Lily, and other extended family members. Funeral services for Mrs. Padgett will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel, with Pastor Jason Jones and Pastor Cody Lord officiating. Interment will follow at Cross City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 PM.
