Obituary of Michael Roach Michael Lee “Mike” Roach, 59, of Jacksonville, died Monday, July 2, 2018, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born May 28, 1959, in Jacksonville, the son of Warren E. and Beverly Donaldson Roach. Michael is survived by his mother, Beverly Roach and his companion, Sandra F. Martin, both of Jacksonville, aunts and uncle, Clover Donaldson of Ashland and Janet (Bill) Riche of Council Bluffs, Iowa, his cousins, Dwayne Riche, Scott Riche, Steve Donaldson, Kevin Donaldson, and Cindy Smith, and his faithful companion “Buffy.” He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Roach, and his faithful companion, “Buddy.” Michael was a 1978 graduate of Ashland High School. He was employed at AC Humko in Jacksonville for nearly 30 years. He was a big fan of sprint car racing and NASCAR and worked on sprint cars for many years. He loved camping, whether it was spending winters in Texas or summers at Crazy Horse Campground. Michael was a member of First Christian Church. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville, with burial at Ashland City Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the National Kidney Foundation, American Lung Association, American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
