Obituary for Max Anthony Blum Max borrowed his earthly body for 81 years and has now exchanged it for his heavenly body. Beloved husband of Marilyn. Loving father of Cynthia (Reuben) Hernandez, Randall (Michelle), Marjorie Sellman and Douglas (Francine). Dear grandfather of John, Michael, Joshua, Andrew, Mitchell, Talia, Elizabeth, Zachary, Christopher, Rebecca, Emily, Matthew and Victoria. Great grandfather of Elijah, Liliana, Charlotte and Maxwell. Survived by his brother Robert (late Patricia) and his sister Sharley (Jerry) Tipton. Max graduated from Flint Technical High school in 1955. Before college, he worked summers laying cement blocks for basements. In 1959 he graduated from the General Motors Institute with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked for General Motors for 29 years and EDS for 12 before retiring in 1996. Max was an honest, caring, compassionate, sensitive supportive man. He loved his family and was always there when they needed help. He loved fixing things, building things and working in the yard, especially his Christmas tree farm.
