Mary P Ryan Howells 2018

Mary P. Howells (Ryan) passed away on Thursday July 19, 2018 in Florissant, Missouri. She was born in Burlington, Vermont on March 18, 1932 the daughter of Harold and Mary (Sullivan) Ryan. She was a graduate of Cathedral High. After marriage in 1953 to Richard Howells who predeceased her in 2008, she made her home in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved back to Vermont in 1993 after her husband retired. In 2006 when her husband’s health was failing they moved to Missouri to be with their daughter. A devoted mother and grandmother she is survived by her daughter, Michele (Steve) Arthur , two grandson’s Shawn (Kathleen) Arthur and Michael Arthur as well as two great grandchildren, Thea and Padraic Arthur. She has two sisters surviving Catherine McEnrue of Burlington and Margaret and Walter Douglas of Cambridge and one brother surviving John Ryan of East Syracuse New York. She was predeceased by her brothers Dan Ryan and Thomas Ryan. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 26, from 4pm to 7pm at the Ready Funeral & Cremation Service South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd. Burlington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 27, at 2:00pm at Immaculate Conception Parish with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mary’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
