Obituary for Mary L. Swisher Miller Mary L. Swisher Miller, 85, of Indian Head, passed away peacefully Fri. July 13, 2018 at the home of her son Ethan, where she was residing. She was born Sept. 18, 1932 in Indian Head a daughter of the late Leo and Verna Gerhard Swisher. Mary was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1950. She then graduated from the Allegheny Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Morris in Jones Mills for many years. She was a member of the Indian Head Church of God. Mary is survived by her children Hannah Miller Hamilton and husband Robert of Greensburg, Ethan Miller and wife Tina of Indian Head, and Bruce Miller and wife Buffi of Billas NJ., her 4 grandchildren, and her brother Jay Swisher of Jonesboro, TN. In addition to her parents Mary was predeceased by her husband Willis B. Miller, a brother George Craig, and 5 step brothers. Family and friends will be received Mon. from 6-8 PM and Tue. from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd., Melcroft (724-455-2310) where a Funeral Service will be held Wed. at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Ed. Mikkelsen officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery, Champion.
