Mary Alice Cox, 95 of Danville, passed away July 12, 2018. Born July 6, 1923 in Clinton Falls, Indiana, she was the daughter of Charles and Verna Claire (Lewis) Miller. She married Leland Wesley Cox on May 12, 1943 in Danville and he preceded her in death in 1979. Mary Alice began her career in 1961 with King School Company and retired as Vice President in 1995. She also taught kindergarten in her home for 10 years. She was an active member of the Danville United Methodist Church and served in many positions throughout her lifetime. Survivors include her daughter, Anna C. (Michael) Riggs of Danville; daughter-in-law, Becky Cox; 5 grandchildren, Matthew, Shelly, Shawn, Ryan, Aaron; 8 great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Lucy, Rylan, Kristen, Trevor, Cameron, Alex, Pheobee and a great-great grandson, Eli. Her parents, brothers, Earl, Charles, Kenneth and Russell Miller and son, Lawrence W. Cox, preceded her in death. Services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Danville United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Primitive Baptist Church East Cemetery, Danville. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the service in the church. Contributions may be made to the Danville United Methodist Church 820 West Mill Street Danville, IN 46122. Baker Funeral Home, Danville, is in charge of the arrangements.
