Obituary for Mrs. Martha Morrow Artis Martha Morrow Artis, 87 of Arab passed away Saturday June 30, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Artis was born February 24, 1931 in Marshall County to William “Bill” Morrow and Elsie Chambliss Morrow. She previously worked 25 years for Sanmina/SCI as a secretary until her retirement. Her husband Gordon Lester Artis preceded her in death in 1993. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, lawn work and visiting with her friends. Mrs. Artis was a member of North Parkway Church of Christ. She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law: Marvin Artis and Madeline and Billy Artis; her daughters and son-in-law: Jean Artis Pearman and Roger and Joyce Atkins; Special Friends: Jackie Betterton and Jerry Sapp; her brothers and sister-in-law: Bud Morrow and Bonnie and William Morrow and Jeanette; her sister Shirley Davis; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren, one great great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband: Gordon Lester Artis; her son: Roger Artis and her brother: Robert “Poss” Morrow. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday July 2, 2018 at Arab Memorial Cemetery with Brother: Kenneth Smith, officiating and Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Artis, Zackery Artis, Dylan Artis, Kevin Artis, Justin Artis and Chris Pearman.
