Mark Anthony Davidson, 58, of Seale, AL passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church in Salem, AL with Pastor Ben Hewitt officiating. The family will receive friends at the memorial service on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. EST for lunch before service. Mark was born July 21, 1959 in Fort Benning, GA to the late Robert E. Davidson and Beulah Manning Davidson. He worked with International Paper in Opelika, AL with 28 years of loyal service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time in the outdoors observing nature. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed sharing quality time and special moments. He was a Christian, and a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Mary “Sherll” Long Davidson, one daughter, Amy Davidson McQuigg and husband Adam, one son, Mark Anthony Davidson, Jr., several sisters and brothers, three grandchildren, Trey Davidson, Alyssa Davidson, and Gage McQuigg, a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many caring friends. “Mark was a gentleman of great character who will always be loved and never forgotten.” In lieu of flowers love offerings in memory of Mark can be sent to Rocky Mount Baptist Church 9117 Lee Road 158, Salem, AL 36874. Or flowers can be sent to 20 Copperhead Road, Seale, AL 36875.
