Obituary for Marion E. Killacky Marion E. (Crane) Killacky, award-winning watercolor artist, 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 27, 2018. Born December 25, 1928, daughter of the late William and Emily (Cyran) Crane, she was a lifelong Chicopee resident. Marion was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1946. She enjoyed her work for many years for the Springfield Republican, first as a telephone operator, and later as its receptionist. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, George I. Killacky, in 2017. She leaves behind her loving daughter Annmarie Rice, of Roanoke, Virginia; cherished granddaughter, Amanda Dufraine, Esq., her husband Matthew, and great grandson Henry George Dufraine of Roanoke, Virginia; sister, Shirley Warren; nieces and nephews; and her lifelong best friend, Eileen Hodge. She was predeceased by a sister, Terry Cournoyer, and a brother, William Crane. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 9:00-10:15AM at Kozikowski Funeral Home, 565 Front St., Chicopee, followed by an 11:00AM committal service in the Chapel of the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St., Agawam.
