Obituary for Marilyn Marander (Englund) Marilyn Yvonne Marander, 83, of Kenosha, formerly of White Pine, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 6, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 12, 1935 in Ontonagon, MI, she was the daughter of the late Leo Elmer and Margaret (Sain) Englund. She was a 1953 graduate of Ontonagon High School. On April 16, 1955, she married the love of her life, John Marander. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2018. Marilyn enjoyed volunteering. She was a member of the Methodist Women of the Church, as well as, a youth teacher there. She led Girl Scouts, taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was a Toast Mistress. She did make-up for the Theater Group. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, camping, interior design, but most of all taking care of her family. Since 1968, she and her family had enjoyed taking vacations in Boulder Junction, WI. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie (Wayne) Carrier of Kenosha; two grandchildren, John (Meghan) Carrier of Salem and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Carrier of Wauconda, IL; and four great-grandchildren, Kylie, Amelie, Elise, and Clara Carrier. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Leo Englund, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 15th, at Proko Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
