Marilyn Louise Seibert, 87, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 6:40 A.M. July 28, 2018 at Memorial Care Center in Belleville, Illinois. She was born January 10, 1931 in Evansville, Indiana to Ferd John and Mary Louise (Boink) Grote. Marilyn is survived by her eight children, Jerry Seibert and special friend, Sue Sammons of Springfield, Illinois, Sharon Seibert Wood of Evansville, Indiana, Mike Seibert of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Jeff Seibert and special friend, Denise Coash of Bourbannais, Illinois, Kathie Seibert Renner and husband, Jeff of Belleville, Illinois, David Seibert and wife, Ann of Wentzville, Missouri, and Tim Seibert and wife, Shelly of Kansas City, Kansas; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews. Ms. Seibert was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Pam Seibert; and her sister, Carol Salzman. Marilyn was first and foremost a loving mother. She had several jobs in Mount Vernon but her latest work experience was as an assistant manager in the fabric department of Ben Franklin Crafts in Evansville, Indiana. She was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed playing bridge. She is dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In honor of Ms. Seibert’s wishes no public services will be held.
