Obituary for Marie Dixon Memorial service for Marie Dixon, 74, of Quitman will be 11:00AM, Friday, July 13, 2018 at New Life Assembly of God in Quitman. Rev. Arnold Hodum will officiate. Mrs. Dixon passed away on July 9, 2018 at Brooks County Hospital. Born November 27, 1943 at Fort Benning, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Haskell and Irene Woody Clay. She was married to Marvin W. Dixon for 54 years, who survives. She graduated from ABAC with her Bachelor’s Degree. Mrs. Dixon was a registered nurse at South Georgia Medical Center. She loved to fish and watch Western movies. Other survivors include sons, Kenneth Marvin Dixon of Quitman, Keith Martin Dixon and wife Shannon of Beaumont, Texas and Karl Madison Dixon and wife Kim of Quitman; seven grandchildren; sisters, Mary Anne Turner of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Millie Long of Quitman. She was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Clay. Guests are invited to sign the online register at www.allenfh.com.
