Margaret Joan Cote 1935 2018

Obituary for Margaret Cote Margaret Joan Cote, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Chicago, IL, on November 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Muriel (Bowling) Norton. She was educated in the schools of Lake Forest and Gurnee, IL. On November 8, 1968, in Great Lakes, IL, she was united in marriage to Donald H. Cote Sr. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2010. After her marriage she and Donald resided in Pleasant Prairie. She was a foster parent for many years and also cared for a special needs individual for over 30 years. She was a member of Immanuel Church in Gurnee, IL. She is survived by her four sons, Steven (Jessica) Lauer, David Lauer, Jeffrey (Jeanne) Lauer, and Paul Lauer; a foster daughter, Terri Buttera; a sister, Patricia Ann (Bruce) Senter; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Margaret was preceded in death by her daughter, Crystal Cote. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16th, at Proko Funeral Home, at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. until time of service. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
