Obituary for Lucia Duarte On Thursday, July 19, 2018, Lucia Duarte, wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away in her sleep at the age of 86 after years of struggling with dementia. Lucia will be lovingly remembered by her son Oscar and wife Tammy, her son Henry and wife Michelle; her grandchildren, Cameron, Alex, Jackie, Cassie and Levi; and her extended family and dear friends. Born in Bogota Colombia, Lucia moved to the United States where she met and married her loving husband Jose (deceased) and raised her family. During the span of 20 years, she operated a day care center from her home to put her sons through private Catholic school while simultaneously teaching and instilling positive core Christian values in the lives of the numerous children she watched and loved.
