Lorraine S. Zemon, 96, of Robbinsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Rose Hill Assisted Living in Robbinsville. Born in Huntington Station, NY she lived in New York for 18 years and then resided in New Jersey for 28 years. She lived in Illinois for 30 years before moving back to New Jersey in 1998. Lorraine was a former employee of the NJ Department of Labor. Mrs. Zemon was a longtime member of St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church. She served on the Altar Rosary Society, was a member of the new church building fund committee, was on the team that counted and deposited Sunday collections and attended Mass daily. Lorraine was always strong in her faith. In her younger years, she was a member of the Catholic Girls Society at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Elmira (Winkler) Scheuerman; her husband, Richard Zemon; her sister, Dorothy Surtees; her brother, Joseph Scheuerman and her nephew, John Scheuerman. She is survived by her son, Arthur Zemon; her grandsons, Kevin Zemon and David and his wife, Katie Zemon; her brother, Robert Scheuerman; her two nephews, Samuel Surtees and Bob Scheuerman; her four nieces, Lisa Surtees, Pam Thompson, Mary Linda Dechesnay and Ruth Seeman; her two great-nephews, Bob Thompson and Matthew Seeman and her great-niece, Bella Scheuerman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church Chapel at 4620 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.
