Leo Charles Tellesbo, age 60, a longtime resident of Fir Island, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018. He was born May 26, 1958 to Joseph & Helen Tellesbo. Leo and his twin brother, Joe, were the first twins born at Skagit Valley Hospital. He attended Conway School and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1977. He went on to earn an AA degree at Skagit Valley College. Leo was a third-generation farmer on Fir Island. He grew up helping his dad on the family dairy farm and… Read More » after his father’s death began crop farming until 1998. He then worked at Skagit Farmer’s Supply in agronomy for 20 years. It was said that he was the “best buggy driver in the Valley”. In 1981 he met Kathryn Moores, they were married in 1985 and were blessed with 4 wonderful children. He loved camping trips, bowling, trips to Mexico, and enjoyed antique cars and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was a past member of the Elks and Ducks Unlimited. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and member of the Conway community and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Joe. He is survived by his wife Kathryn. His four children; Bryce (Lindsey), Tyler (Amy), Haley (Alex) and Katey. Grandchildren Adelyn & Cameron, and a grand-daughter due in late August. Niece Melinda (Jed) and great-nieces Abby, Josie, and Evelynne. A private graveside service will be held by the family. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
