Kenneth W. Forsyth, 65, of Smiths Station, AL passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm EDT Friday, July 20, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home. Mr. Forsyth was born January 19, 1953 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Hulin Forsyth and Julia Scott Forsyth. He worked in the banking industry for most of his career. Mr. Forsyth proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He loved hunting and fishing, as well as his family. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Forsyth. Mr. Forsyth is survived by his companion of 21 years, Joyce Wages of Smiths Station, AL; a son, Adam Forsyth and wife Stefanie of Monticello, GA; sisters, Evelyn Marlatt of Denver, CO, Barbara Fridley and Elaine Fuller, both of Columbus, GA; brothers, Larry Forsyth and wife Glenda of Lake Charles, LA, Jimmy Forsyth and wife Alicia of Phenix City, AL, Ronnie Forsyth of Columbus, GA and Donald Forsyth and wife Sharon of Columbus, GA; grandchildren, Sawyer Forsyth, Stella Mae Forsyth, Patrick Clark and Parker Clark; several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.
