Judith “Judi” L. Gonder, 73, went home to be with the Lord, July 7, 2018. She was born February 18, 1945 in Akron, Ohio to the late Dr. Frank and Marjorie Gonder. She was an insurance agent, account manager and assistant Vice President for Marsh and McLennan for 34 years. She was a member of Firestone Park United Methodist Church where she was choir director and director of handbells. She enjoyed mission projects, genealogy, music, reading, live theatre, taking bus trips and traveling. Judith was also a former member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald and Frank Gonder; she leaves to cherish her memory, sister, Karen Gonder; nieces and nephews, Janice Gonder, Dr. Jennifer (John) Dugan and Mark (Susan) Gonder. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Firestone Park United Methodist Church, 250 N. Firestone Blvd, Akron, Ohio 44301 with Rev. Max Berry officiating. Burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:30 until time of service. For those that wish, memorial contributions can be made to the Church in memory of Judith.
