Obituary for Joyce Barringer (Bodenheimer) Ms. Joyce Bodenheimer Barringer passed away at her home Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Her funeral service will be 3 PM Friday at Wilkinson Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Archie Barringer. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM at the funeral home. Joyce was born May 11, 1937 in Rowan County to the late Raymond G. Bodenheimer and Ruby Vanderburg Bodenheimer. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1955 and went to Evans Business College where she graduated with a Business Degree. She went on to work for Concord Telephone Co. Joyce loved gardening and spending time with family. Joyce is survived by daughters, Donna Barringer of the home and Debbie Pidatella and husband Mike of Magnolia, TX, and their father, Earl Barringer; grandchild, Jennifer Janke and husband Konrad of Conroe, TX; sisters, Beverly Linker and husband Thurmond of Cramer Mountain, NC and Linda Southerland of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Jackie Wilson and husband Rob; nephew, Jeffery Southerland and wife Donna of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and her beloved “B J”pooh dog.
