Obituary for Joseph Rondeau Joseph L. Rondeau, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket, passed away on June 18, 2018 at the age of 83. He was the husband of Lucille A. (Bourget) Rondeau, of Woonsocket. Father of Jayne M. Rondeau, of Woonsocket. Brother of Eileen Thompson and her husband Timothy, of Albany, GA and Judy Champagne and her husband Paul, of North Smithfield, RI. Grandfather of Daniel J. Rondeau and his wife Allison, of North Attleboro, MA. Son of the late Leonard Rondeau and Florence (Rochefort) Potvin. Joseph was an Army private in the 82nd Airborne during the Korean Conflict, before become a firefighter for the city of Woonsocket for 23 years, retiring in 1988. He also was a plasterer part time. Joseph was an avid golfer, bowler, and fisherman. During his retirement, Joseph created a woodshop in his basement where he began his woodworking passion, along with his enjoyment of watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. A private burial for family will be conducted at a later date at the Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI. Order Flowers
