John S Stasik 2018

John S. Stasik, 72 , of Duryea, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 26, 2018 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Danyko Stasik. John was a 1965 graduate of Exeter High School and served his country as a U.S. Army veteran. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant with the 365th engineers division. John worked in sales for 30 years at Friedman Electric, Exeter and the was an accomplished electrician by trade. He also worked for Kane, as a forklift mechanic for the past 15 years. He belonged to the American Legion, in the Dushore area. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Surviving are his wife of 50 years, the former Louise Thubbron and daughters, Kim Stasik, Duryea, Lynn ( Jim) Dolan, Avoca and Amy (Ken) Perrins, Moosic. 5 grandchildren: 2 great grandsons: numerous nieces and nephews Relatives and friends may call on Sunday from 5-8pm at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, LLC, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. Military funeral services will be accorded by the AMVETS Honor Guard on Monday at 9:15am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Stephenson St., Duryea. The Rev. John Polednak, pastor will be celebrant. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schooley St., Exeter.
