John E. “Pops” Webb Jr, 85 John E. “Pops” Webb Jr., 85 of West Portsmouth died Friday, July 13, 2018 at his home. He was born December 12, 1932 in Portsmouth to the late John E. and Muriel Elizabeth Smith Webb Sr.. Along with his parents John is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Whaley Webb, who he married July 3, 1953; 2 sisters, Patty Thompson and Joyce Puckett, and a brother Paul Webb. John retired from Boone Coleman Construction and was a member of Labors Local #83. He was one of the original “Boone’s Goons”. John is survived by a son John Wesley (Pamela) Webb of West Portsmouth; 3 daughters, Deborah (Lyndell) Howell, Peggy Webb both of Portsmouth, Polly (Henry) Brown of West Portsmouth; a sister, Barbara Coleman of Wheelersburg; a brother, Lee (Linda) Webb of West Portsmouth; 6 grandchildren, Sara, Nicholas, Johnathan, Tori, Jordan, and Hunter; and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
