Obituary for John E. Meyers Decatur – John E. Meyers, 78, of Decatur, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. John was born in Akron, OH, March 12, 1940, the son of John E. and Florence Meyers, Jr. A U.S. Air Force veteran and member of Ss. James and Patrick Parish, John worked at Firestone until retiring in 1995. He married Lesa Jordan on September 5, 1980. Surviving are his wife, Lesa; daughter, Rachel (Jeff) Harris; grandchildren: Megan (Josh) Macklin, Morgan Harris and Paige (Jared) Cothren; great grandchildren: Grayden and Gibson Macklin and Lola Cothren; brother, Michael (Donna) Meyers of OH; nephew Alex Daniels; niece Alison Daniels (Tim Cummings); other relatives and friends. Funeral services are pending. John was preceded in death by his parents; son, John C. Meyers; daughter, Rose Marie “Rosie” Meyers Bowman and sisters: Sharon and Susan. The family of John E.
