Obituary for Joan Sands (Borrill) Sands, Joan Mary (nee Borrill) on Monday, July 2, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Charles Ralph Sands. Dear mother of Juliet (Bruce) Wills and Jane (Larry) Slater. Dear grandmother of Benjamin (Janelle) Wills, Megan (David) Gaddy, Jeremy (Cara) Wills, and Charles (Cathy) Herrick. Dear great-grandmother of Aryanna, Spencer, Adam, Micah, Myla, Samatha, Becca, and Elise. Dear sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Joan was married for over 50 years coming to this country after meeting her late husband Ralph during WWII in England. She was a faithful servant of Christ since childhood and is now resting in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Joan was devoted to her brothers and sisters in Christ at her local assembly. Joan was a local fixture for over 50 years at the Kirkwood Library and she loved working out and exercising with her friends at the Kirkwood YMCA. Funeral service will be Saturday, July 7, 11:00 a.m. at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Road in Kirkwood. Interment Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
