OBITUARY Jessica “Jess” James Brandsma December 1, 1993 – July 20, 2018 Jessica James Brandsma, affectionately known as “Jess”, was born on December 1, 1993 in Shawnee Mission, KS and passed away on July 20, 2018 surrounded by many family and friends. She was a fierce warrior with such a beautiful soul that inspired so many with her courage and spirit. “Jess” was a graduate of Raytown High School and was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. While she had such a caring heart for others, her heart and soul was dedicated to being a wife and mother. “Jess” was a bright light in our world and there are no words for how deeply our beautiful girl will be missed. She is survived by her amazing husband and soulmate, Jesse; their two young boys, Draken and Waylon; her mother, Kimberly Wright Hammond; her father, William F. Hammond, Jr; her sister, Krystal Bowie and husband, Mike; her niece, Riley Hammond; her nephew, Logan Bowie; her niece, Alyssa Bowie; her beloved granny, Denise McChan; her uncle Will (Kenny) Hinrichs and wife, Brandy; her uncle Jonathan Hoke and wife, Amber; her aunt, Mary Edmondson and husband, Rick; her uncle Tony Feo: her uncle, Fred Feo; her best friend, Heather Pugsley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services will be at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Kansas City, Missouri, July 26th, Visitation 1:00 p.m., Funeral 2:00 p.m. Interment, Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at the American Legion Hall in Smithville, Missouri following the services.
