Janice C. Eckberg, 84, Green Bay, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1934 to the late Robert and Cecilia (Huempfner) Neerdaels in De Pere, WI. On May 7, 1955 she married Kenneth Eckberg at St. Joseph’s Church in Green Bay. Janice attended St. Joseph school and graduated class of 1952 from West High in Green Bay. She was a homemaker and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed swimming, raising cockatiels, golfing, bingo, cards and a devoted Packer fan. She is survived by her daughters, Gail (Mark Kaster) Eckberg, Sandra (David) Hill, Lynn (Don) Rogers, her son James “Jim” (Renee) Eckberg; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Judy (David) McAllister and Joan (Larry) Walvort; Special friend of 16 years Bob Geenen of Kaukauna, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Anita “Mier” Eckberg; grandsons Ethen and Erik Eckberg and brother Robert Neerdaels. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 3:00 pm until the time of funeral service at 5:30 pm.
