JAMES INGLES DAUBENSPECK, age 71. Beloved husband of Janet (nee Goff); proud father of Sarah Daubenspeck Behanna (John) and Laura Daubenspeck Titas (Richard); cherished grandfather of Morgan Ingles Titas and Riley Samantha Titas; dear son of the late Gloria I. and the late Laird R. Daubenspeck; loving son-in-law of Carleton N. and the late Athleen W. Goff; devoted brother of the late Laird R. Daubenspeck and step-brother of Betsey Bell; caring uncle of Laird Daubenspeck and Lynn Casto and great-uncle of Caleb and Ian Casto. On Wednesday July 25th, 2018, heaven gained a true legend, one who will forever keep everyone on their toes. Jim passed peacefully with family after his battle with cancer and Parkinson’s. He was surrounded by his many dogs, and had quickly become the talk of Hospice. Throughout New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Texas, Colorado, Boston and Ohio, he was best known for bringing his quick wit and sarcasm, invited or not, to any situation. A devoted family man, Jim firmly believed his daughters were capable of taking over the world, to then of course be handed off to his superhero grandchildren. His love for them was surpassed only by his love affair with his wife Jan of 46 years. His other loves included nature and all elements, connecting with the outdoors, the Red Sox and Patriots, Cape Cod, good country music mixed with the best of Clapton, and of course a good bourbon. His dislikes are too numerous to mention, for all those who knew him. He was a man of high expectations, ethics and loyalty, conveyed by his genuine smile and infinite support of those around him. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.Celebration of life will be held at 20571 Edgecliff Drive, Euclid 44123, Saturday, August 4th, from 4-9pm.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of James Ingles Daubenspeck 2018. Murphy Funeral Home
