Obituary for James Falconer JAMES W. FALCONER James, 92, of Sturgeon, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, in the Rosewood of Ohio Valley Hospital. He was born April 3, 1926, in McDonald, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Falconer. Mr. Falconer was a retired coal miner with Consolidated Coal Co. He was a member of United Miner Workers of America and was a World War II Army veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. Surviving are his sons, Jeffrey (Christine) Falconer, Mark (Rosemary) Falconer and Brother, Richard (Dorothy) Falconer, all of Oakdale; grandchildren, Courtney (Craig) Elliott, Joshua, Megan, and Dr. Elissa Falconer; great grandchild, Madeline Elliott. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cecelia Falconer (2009); four sisters, four brothers, and one great grandchild, Cameron Elliott. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Thomas-Little Funeral Service, Inc., 314 W. Lincoln Avenue, McDonald (724-926-2800) where funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sturgeon Vol. Fire Dept. or a local veterans organization. Order Flowers
