James R. Bowles, age 81, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Marion General Hospital in Marion. James was born in Frankfort, Indiana on December 8, 1936 the son of the late Raymond and Ruby (Smith) Bowles. He married Mabel Purvis on Feb. 16, 1983, and she preceded him in death in December of 2006. He was a Navy veteran and a warehouse manager for Peter Paul Candy Company. He is survived by two sons, Brent Bowles of Indianapolis and Edward Bowles of Lebanon. Graveside Services with military honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, Indiana. Arrangements entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W.
