James Lawerence Price 1938 2018

Obituary for James Price James “Jimmy” Lawrence Price, 79, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018. He was born October 13, 1938 in Chester County, SC, to the late Lamb James and Carrie Gibson Price. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Randolph Price. Mr. Price retired after 40 years with Florida Steel Company. He served in the U.S. Army during the Koran Conflict. He enjoyed camping and bowling and loved the Atlanta Braves. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. Mr. Price is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandy Weaver Price; son, Johnny Price of Charlotte; daughters, Bonnie Jackson and husband Rick of Waxhaw and Tammy Smith and husband Bobby of Salisbury; grandchildren, Kim Neeley and husband Darrel of Waxhaw, Rick Jackson of Waxhaw, Jennifer Rose and husband Justin of Salisbury and Kari Smith and husband Justin of Salisbury and Cory Price of Charlotte; eight great- grandchildren; sister, Georgia Anna Martin of Lincolnton; and his special companion, his dog, Pumpkin. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
