James B Johnson September 14 1930 July 11 2018 (age 87)

James B. Johnson, age 87, of West Milton, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Brookhaven Retirement Community. He was born September 14, 1930 to the late Andy & Sola (Conley) Johnson in London, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years Linda Lou (Perry) Johnson and sister Lois Weindenborner. He will be missed and remembered by his loving children Lisa (Clay) Giuffre of Union and Lesley (Ernest Montgomery) Johnson of Pittsburg, Kansas and greatly missed by many in-laws, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was a member of the United States Air Force attaining the rank of Master Sergeant while serving in the Korean Conflict as an Air Traffic Controller. After completing his service, he continued in the profession at Dayton International Airport until retirement. He was an avid sportsman, outdoorsman, and never met a stranger. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 18 at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami St, West Milton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, July 17 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton, OH 45420.
