Obituary for James Thomas James Addison “Bud” Thomas, 88, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018. He was born January 5, 1930 in Union County, son of the late Aaron Russell and Essie McCain Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Russell Thomas. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 1:00 PM in Unity ARP Church, Lancaster, SC, officiated by Rev. Charles Hammond, Dr. Guy Smith and Rev. Lee Thomas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives following the burial. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Libby” Holden Thomas; brother, Eric Thomas and wife Lazette of Monroe; brother-in-law, John (Paula) Starnes of Texas; nieces and nephews, Tammy (Rick) Burnell, Chris (Amy) Thomas, Rev. Lee (Amy) Thomas, Todd (Angie) Starnes, Randy Starnes, Erika (Brian) Dakin and Mark Thomas. He will also be lovingly remembered by Katy, Jacob, Olivia, Marina, Miley, Rachel, Abbie, Maxine, Addison, Nate, Ben and Eli. Memorials may be made to Unity ARP Church Building Fund, 3495 Unity Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
