I pray you are all being comforted in this time of extreme and tragic loss for all of us. I pray you are being brought closer to your families and to God Our Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus. We have decided to have a memorial service for both Makani and Ivana on Friday, July 27 at McNerney’s Mortuary, 570 W. 5th St. in San Pedro. Viewing will begin at 5:30 pm and Celebration of Life will begin at 7pm. If anyone would like to speak or share a memory, read a poem etc.. please let me know so I can schedule it with the coordinator. There will be an open time for sharing for others who knew them as well we just ask that we not mention Marc or anything about him whatsoever. The following morning Saturday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. we will have a service at St. Sava Serbian Church and Cemetery , 4355 E. 2nd Street, East Los Angeles, CA 90022. There will be a formal Orthodox service followed by the graveside and then a reception afterwards with food and drinks for everyone to grieve together. Please put this on your calendar if you’d like to attend and pass this information on to anyone and everyone who knew them as they touched so many people who we don’t have anyway to contact. Additionally our house is currently full of flowers so if anyone would like to do something for the family the Galaxy (his soccer team) set up a “go fund me page” to help cover the memorial and funeral costs to the family.
