Ingrid Sage 2018

Waterford – Ingrid Marie (Johnson) Sage, 95, a Waterford resident, passed away July 13, 2018, at Harbor Village in New London. She was born March 21, 1923, in New London. She was the daughter of Sven and Dagny (Stokseth) Johnson, who both immigrated from Norway. Mrs. Sage attended New London Business School to help with her father’s home building business in Waterford. She later started her own business ventures to then retire as a real estate agent. She was predeceased by husband Thomas Sage, and her brothers Torey and Sven Roy Johnson. Survivors include daughter Karen Kokoska and husband Tom of Waterford, and daughter Donna Alqueza of Niantic; sisters Rachel Howard of Knoxville, Tenn., and Irene Sagese of Waterford; grandchildren Kristine Gravell, Jeannine Zenobi and Douglas Alqueza; and great-grandchild Ava Zenobi. The family welcomes relatives and friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand St., Niantic, with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
