Obituary for Ima McShane (Bridges) Ima Dunks McShane, age 102, died on Friday, July 13, 2018. Ima was born in Nacogdoches, Texas on September 26, 1915. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed going to thrift stores and eating out. She drove until she was 100 years old. She was active in the community Heritage Senior Center and was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family. She was a widow of war in WWII when her first husband Mr. Dunks passed away. Ima is preceded in death by her first husband Albert Lee Dunks (1945), second husband Adrian John McShane (1991), and brother Horton Bridges. Left to cherish her memory are son, Albert Bruce Dunks, and his wife Nancy; granddaughters Christine Lambe and husband Darrell, Brenda White and husband Daniel, and Barbara Boedeker; sister-in-law Gloria Bridges; niece, Ann Bridges Windsor; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous other extended family members; and a warm thank you to the staff and friends at Avalon Memory Care. The family will receive friends from 6:00- 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home, 707 North MacArthur Blvd., Irving, TX 75061. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the funeral home with an interment immediately following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, 1413 E. Irving Blvd., Irving, TX 75061.
