George I. Crowley, 65, of Exeter passed away at his home on July 24, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Marie A. (Goodness) Crowley for forty-five years. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Herbert W., Sr. and Doris C. (Mallory) Crowley. George served in the US Army Reserves. He had worked for ETCO in Warwick for over twenty years, retiring due to illness. He was a knife collector, car enthusiast and enjoyed playing pool. He was also a NY Giants fan. In addition to his wife, he leaves two children and their spouses, George J. and Sarah Crowley of Ashford, CT and Melissa and Daniel Chapman of West Kingston; a brother, David Crowley of North Kingstown; a sister, Dorothy Crowley of West Warwick; and five granddaughters, Samantha, Briana, Leah, Hannah and Bekah. He was the brother of the late Herbert W. Crowley, Jr. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11am in Elm Grove Cemetery, 960 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association will be appreciated.
