Genevieve A. “Jenny” Mader, 82, formerly of Chester, passed away with her family by her side, Monday, July 23, 2018, at Friendship Ridge Bethany Hospice in Beaver, PA. Born, February 21, 1936, in Altoona, PA., she is a daughter of the late Thomas C. and Cynthia Cox Kearnely. She was also preceded in death by her husband Fred Mader; brother, Thomas Kearnely; sister, Theresa Asky and by her daughter, Barbara L. Alexander and grandson Regis Alexander III. Jenny was a member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church. After 30 years of service, Jenny retired from Private Duty Nursing. She worked hard throughout her life owning and operating her own restaurant for many years. She will be sadly missed by her sons, Michael J. Shutka and his wife Marti of Oil City, PA. and Edward L. Shutka of Aliquippa, PA.; daughter, Michelle J. Modrovich of Ambridge, PA.; son-in-law, Regis Alexander II; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester WV. Interment will follow at the Locust Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home, Thursday, July 26, 2018, from 2:00PM-8: 00 PM.
