Obituary for Garry Roy Harmon A private family service for Garry Harmon, age 75, of Enid, will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory. Garry was born January 29, 1943 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Homer and Vera (Kirton) Harmon, and passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, in Miramar Beach, Florida. Garry grew up in Kingfisher and graduated from Kingfisher High School. He attended Phillips University in Enid, and graduated with a masters in History. On July 17, 1970 he married Jean Zieske, in Cleveland, Ohio, and they made their home in Enid. Garry taught history at Enid High School and was an FBI Agent for over 31 years before he retired. Throughout his career he received multiple accommodations recognizing his accomplishments from individuals ranging from the director of the FBI all the way to the President of the United States. He loved traveling, fishing, hunting and OSU sports. His favorite place to be was Seagrove Beach, Florida with his family. He left this world at the place he loved, surrounded by the people he loved. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. We will miss his selfless character, witty sense of humor and practical advice. Garry is survived by his wife Jean; 4 children Brian and DJ Goddard of Las Vegas, Matthew and Amy Harmon of Stillwater, James and Crystal Harmon of Enid, and Jennifer and Butch Dellis of Tulsa; and 5 grandchildren Hannah, Sarah, and Kelsey Goddard, Hayden Harmon, and Austin Harmon. Garry was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SPCA in honor of Garry Harmon.
