Franklin E Clay December 31 1969 July 1 2018 (age 48)

Franklin E. Clay age 62 of Carlisle passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of Clyde and Joy (Burton) Clay. Franklin was a member of the Carlisle Historical Society, the Civil War Trust, the Germantown Veterans Memorial Museum, where he was a noted speaker on Civil War History, and a proud member of the NRA. He was also the Director of the Miami Valley Fire/EMS Alliance and retired from Sinclair Community College where he was Department Chair of the Fire Science program, and former Fire Chief of the Carlisle Fire Department. He is survived by his wife Stephanie Clay, father Clyde Clay, Daughter Caroline (John) Oliver , son Ryan ( Clay and his brother Curtis (Denise) Clay., god daughter Elizabeth (Nick) Ernest. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 7, 2018 at he Carlisle Hillcrest Baptist Church, 820 Central Ave. Carlisle, OH at 12:00 P.M. (noon), Pastor Jamey Johnson officiating. Burial will take place at Germantown Union Cemetery following the service.
