Frank Christian Eberhardt aged 89 died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 3, 2018. He was born and resided in the Vaux Hall section of Union. He joined the United States Marine Corp at the age of 17, and served proudly until 1950. On June 4, 1950 he married his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life, Phyllis Attanasio Eberhardt, who passed away May 2018.. He worked for Carpenter Technology Corp. as a Welding Mill Operator and later as a Lab Technician retiring after 35 years. They moved to Colonia, NJ in 1958, where they raised their two children, Linda Eberhardt Kuntz and Glenn F. Eberhardt. He is survived by his daughter, Linda Eberhardt Kuntz and her husband Dennis Kuntz of Colonia, his son, Glenn F. Eberhardt and his wife Sandy Roszkowski Eberhardt of Hopelawn. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Kelly and Bryant Salmon, Jaime and Dave Frangella, Glenn and Christine Eberhardt, Jackie and Tommy Giddes and Katie and Nick Paradiso along with 7 great –grandchildren Aidan, Conner, Luca, Owen, Zachary, Leah and Nicky. He was a loving Husband, Father , Grandfather and Great-Grandfather and will truly be missed. The family is having a private viewing at Gosselin Funeral Home with internment at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia
