Mr. Floyd Leslie Crider, age 75, of Halifax, VA, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born on July 05, 1943, in Pulaski, VA, to the late Ora Crider and Pearl Folden Crider. Before his retirement, Mr. Crider was employed as a self-employed contractor in dry wall hanging and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Gloria Loveless Crider; children, Stephen Crider (Christine) and Kelli Sue Hauser (JC); grandchildren, Stephen Wayne Crider, Journy Lee Snead, and Leslie Jean Hauser; great-grandchildren, Gavin Snead and JayLynn Snead; siblings, Joseph Herbert Crider, Janet Delores Shultz, Tina Gay Patterson, and Candice Leorita Sease. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crider was predeceased by his daughter, Wendy Lynn Crider Snead and five siblings. A celebration of Mr. Crider’s life will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. John Gentry officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Highland Burial Park.
