Evlyine G. Simmons, age 89, of Martinsburg, passed away, July 2, 2018 at her home. She was born April 2, 1929 in Coshocton County to Eugene and Mary (Armbrust) Brink. She is survived by seven children: Sandra (Don) Wilson, William E. (Tammy) Butler, Larry J. (Pamela) Butler, Mary S. Butler, Judy K. Butler, Terry D. Simmons, and Homer M. (Alicia) Simmons; one sister Eunice Shepherd; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer; one sister Nettie Shepherd and two brothers William Brink and Gene Brink. Visitation will be held on Friday July 6, 2018 from 11:00-1:00 PM at the Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon. The funeral service will begin at 1:00PM with Pastor Matthew Schwartz officiating. Burial will follow in Martinsburg Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County.
