Evelyn Louveta Feilner Ackerman, 95, of Summerville, widow of Hammon Pickett Ackerman, Jr., passed away Saturday, July, 21, 2018. Graveside funeral services for Evelyn and her two sons, Robert and Ralph, will be held Friday afternoon, July 27, 2018 at 12 o’clock in Ackerman Family Cemetery in Cottageville, SC. Evelyn was born on December 1, 1922 in Raydon, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Robert B. Feilner and Golda M. King Feilner. She was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II in Women’s Army Corps. She was a retired administrative assistant and she was a school teacher. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Bonnie B. Ackerman, of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren (Robert’s children), Wesley Charles Ackerman of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Robert Pickett Ackerman, II, Ryan Heith Ackerman, both of Neptune Beach, FL; one great-grandson, Hayden Ackerman, of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Hammon Ackerman, Jr.; and her twin sons, Robert Pickett Ackerman and Ralph Phillip Ackerman; her sister Dorothy Willoughby; and her brother Raymond Feilner.
