Obituary for EUNICE FOX Eunice Fox, 97, of Overland Park, passed away Tuesday, June 19 at Brookdale College Square. Graveside services will be held at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery, 1901 Blue Ridge Boulevard, Independence, MO 64052 at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 22, 2018. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the charity of one’s choice. Eunice was born March 8, 1921 to immigrants, Joseph and Celia Miller in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was president of the Kehilath Israel Synagogue Sisterhood from 1995 to 1996. Eunice was extremely active and involved in all of the activities at KI, from working in the gift shop to wrapping presents at the mall. Everyone knew and loved her. Eunice had a great sense of style and dressed “to the nines.” She loved novels, movies and music. She loved being with people. Eunice cherished her time with family and traditions. She enjoyed cooking, and was famous for her brisket, peanut butter balls, cranberry cookies, kreplach, matzo ball soup and always-fresh latkes. Her sister, Leah Gladstone, preceded Eunice in death. Eunice is survived by her children Deanna & Larry Gilinsky and Joni Small. Grandchildren; David and Katherine Gilinsky, Kevin and Patty Gilinsky, Scott and Tanya Kaplan, Danny and Krista Kaplan, Sherie and Matthew Henry, and 9 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of Brookdale College Square, and Audrey and Carrie at Brookdale Hospice for their love, care and support.
