Obituary of Eugene Viers Eugene Howard Viers, age 85, of Clermont County, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2018. The funeral service will be held on July 26th at 1 PM at the Thomas-Justin Memorial Funeral Home in Kenwood at 7500 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236. Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 1 PM. Burial will follow the funeral at Rest Haven Memorial Cemetery around 2 PM. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Thomas-Justin Memorial Funeral Home. Eugene Viers was born in Paris, Kentucky on October 25, 1932. He graduated from Withrow High School and continued his education through glazing apprenticeships. Eugene was married to Betty Jane Snyder in 1981; they were married 37 years. Eugene worked as a glazer for Eastern Hills Glass and Glazingfor approximately 38 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Warand served in the United States Army in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He enjoyed life in general, loved playing golf and tennis, and was an avid private pilot. In prior years, he volunteered at the South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, Florida. He had attended religious services at the Sun City Center United Methodist Church and the Anderson Hills United Methodist Church. Eugene is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Viers, son Brett Viers, daughter Rhonda (Larry) Swadner, step daughter Pam (Charlie) Terrell, and grandchildren Josh Terrell, Stephanie Terrell, Lindsey Swadner, and Zachary Swadner. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
