Ellen M. McCully, 87, of Chillicothe, died at 5:05 pm Thursday, July 26th, 2018, at the Heritage Health Nursing home in Chillicothe. Born June 4th, 1931 to the late Howard and Ester Powell, Ellen married Mearl McCully on January 26, 1951, who preceded her in death in May of 2005. Loving mother of Dottie (Glen) Fisher of Chillicothe, Brad (Laura) McCully of Peoria and Brett (Cindy) McCully of Chillicothe. Dear grandmother of eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Loving sister of William (Elaine) Powell of Topeka, Kansas and the late Howard (the late Judy) Powell. Ellen was a retired supervisor at Caterpillar for many years. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 7 at 10:30 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home, 1107 N 4th St, Chillicothe, IL 61523. Interment will be held at the Chillicothe City Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Lunch will be served immediately after at the VFW Hall in north Chillicothe. Memorials appreciated to Rescue 33, 1217 N. Santa Fe Ave. Chillicothe, IL 61523.
