Eduardo Preston Rangel Aguirre, 74 of Sanford passed away Friday July 13,2018. A Memorial service will be held at 12;30pm Tuesday at St Stephen Catholic Church. Mr. Rangel a son of the late Diego Rangel and Blanca Aguirre. He was a graduate of Mission High School in San Francisco, CA, and graduated from the University of San Francisco, with degrees in Business and Biology. While at University of San Francisco he was an allstar soccer player and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2017. He is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Maria Etelvina Silva; daughters Rosanna Berta- Rangel, Stephanie Rojas and Melissa Badra and husband Fareed ; grandchildren Olivia Marie Rojas, Natasha Teresa Berta- Rangel, Nicolas Eduardo Berta-Rangel, Nicolette Bella Rojas, Damon Victor Badra, Noemi Rose Berta- Rangel and Jasmine Cleo Badra; siblings the late Alberto Rangel, Blanca Madalengoitia Rangel, Max Rangel, Lucy Pando, Diego Rangel and George Rangel. Memorials may be to the Diabetes Association, 2418 Blue Ridge Rd, Raleigh, NC 27607.
