Dr. Lawrence David Jones, 90, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018 at his home in Prescott Valley, Arizona; formerly of Harlowton Montana. He was born March 3, 1928 in Cloquet, Minnesota to Ellsworth David Jones and Opal I Proctor. He was raised in Minnesota and graduated from Cloquet High School in 1946. He attended Pharmacy School at the University of Utah, Medical School at the University of North Dakota and graduated from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1965 as a Doctor… Read More » of Medicine. He first opened his first medical practice in Harlowton in 1965, moving to Southern CA in 1969 to practice medicine and moving into administrative medicine where he would spend the remainder of his career, retiring from First Colony Life Insurance in late 1990’s. He was active with the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Eastern Star. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth Jones and Opal Proctor; two sisters, Ila T Jones and Barbra M Jones Smith. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Mary M Montgomery Jones; one sister, Tharen T Jones Robson (George) of Lodi, WI; three sons, Ellsworth D Jones II (Cheryle) of Dewey, AZ, Donald L Jones of Stanford, MT, Christopher L Jones of Aiken, SC; three daughters, Greta L Jones May (Joe) of Talbot, TN, Laura E Jones Stalling of Lynchburg, VA, Sharon E Jones Hatcher (Brian) of Charlotte, NC; six grandsons, Kyle D Jones (Tanya) of Abilene, TX, Dustin L Jones of Yukon, OK, Kaycee T Jones of Avon, CO, Kody L Jones of Dewey, AZ, Caleb Hatcher and Jared Hatcher of Charlotte, NC; four granddaughters, Dana L Echols, of McComb, MS, Kayleen L Breen (Kyle) of Havre, MT, Kimberly A DuHaime of Prescott Valley, AZ, Sheridan R Echols (James) of Honolulu, HI; four great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, many nieces and nephews. A service was held Saturday, June 30th at 10 AM at the Mingus View Presbyterian Church, Prescott Valley, Arizona. There will be a Memorial Service at Creel Funeral Home in Lewistown, MT on Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at 10 A.M. Inurnment will follow at the Lewistown City Cemetery.
